  Hope everyone had a good long weekend! And I hope not too many kids are crying at being back in class, or that too many parents are gloating either! Anyhow, we finally have a review for the first episode of Mugen no Ryvius although the encyclopaedia and trivia pages will be a bit longer. For those who are watching spelling, Ryvius is a bit unusual in that the spelling in the series, and the spelling in the fan book may be different. Which to use?!

  Also up is an addition to the Magic Knights Rayearth review in the Parent's Guide. No that's not all that's been received. More work to come there. Also, the last week's fan art contest entries haven't been posted yet. On the otherhand, the prize for the current bi-monthly contest has now been listed. Monthly picks and new releases for some manga has also been updated so take a look!





• August 27

  Okay, we're very behind in our updates for this week. However, up so far are several new contest entries on the Fan Art Contest Page. Also up are updates for upcoming releases in both North America as well as in Japan.

  I missed updating the Parent's Guide last week, but will get it updated in the next few of days along with a new review for Infinite Ryvius. Also for later this week will be the changes to the feedback forms, just as soon as I find the coding information again...

  Special thanks to Mike and Liz for notifying me that the Cafe Contest entry form was no longer working. The contest and feedback forms have now been changed and should be working again. Feedback forms currently require an e-mail address to be input and will be fixed for the next update. Cheers!

  Where does the time fly? Hopefully most people out there aren't suffering too much from the heat this summer. I'm really starting to look forward to cooler temperatures!

  News from the folks at THEM Anime Reviews! They are now back and updating once again. Up on their site is a top 10 listing of best (? maybe favourite is more accurate?) anime for movies, OAVs and TV series so take a look!

  Meanwhile, on the manga front, for fans of Takaya Natsuki's Fruits Basket, the manga will start being published once again in Hana to Yume Vol 19! After a year wait, we finally get to see what will happen next!

  Now, on to the updates! This week, we have a new review up for NieA_7 episode 1 which is slated for release soon. Also up are several trivia questions for Niea_7 for the sharp-eyed viewers out there. How many will you be able to answer?

  Several more contest entries have been added to the fan art contest page. All entries save one has been processed with which we're still having problems. Hopefully we'll have better luck using the desktop system as it's more powerful than my little laptop. However, it would really help if all people send files in a standard format (eg. GIF, JPG, BMP etc). Personally, I use Corel Draw, so I can't open PhotoShop or Paint Shop files without some difficulty. Also, to all AOL users out there, please make sure to label your fan art contest entries as being for the Fan Art Contest. The AOL mail program embeds the picture in the e-mail such that it doesn't show up as a file attachment. This means your e-mail disappears into the sea of regular contest entries.

  Lastly, the Parent's Guide will be updated later this week. Apologies to those who have been left in limbo there!

  Several new entries have been added to the Fan Art Contest page. All processable entries received to date are up. If you sent an entry and can't find your it on the contest page, you'll know it got lost in the ether or there was a problem with the file, so please re-submit. Just a reminder to all fan art contestants, please remember to label your e-mail for the "Fan Art Contest" otherwise, it'll get lost in the regular contest's entries. Cheers!

  Side menus have been updated for the Cafe Forum button. Also up is the encyclopaedia entry for Mamono Hunter Yohko as well as two new entries to the Fan Art Contest so take a look!

  Hope everyone had a good Civic Holiday long weekend! Up with this update are: three new contest entries for the Fan Art Contest. Also up is a first episode review for Angelic Layer the new anime from Clamp which started airing earlier this year. With the review, are also a couple of trivia questions for the sharp-eyed viewers to test their memories. In the Parent's Guide to Anime, there are two new reviews for Jubei-chan and Outlaw Star (edited) while a follow-up review has been posted for Angel Sanctuary.

  Also updated are the monthly picks section, as well as the Upcoming Releases sections for both anime and manga so take a look!

  A touch later than expected, but tragedy struck in the real world as we lost our kitty of 17 years. Hopefully he's enjoying terrorising all the mice in Heaven.

  In any case, there are several entries to the Café Fan Art Contest which have now been added to the site for your perusal. Also up is a new review for the first Devil Hunter Yohko OAV as well as a few new trivia questions as well. For those of you who like trivia, take a look and find out just how closely you were watching!
