Fruits Basket

genre: Comedy / Drama

Based on the popular shoujo manga by Takaya Natsuki - Hakusensha Hana to Yume comics.

Honda Tohru is a first year high school student and has been living with her grandfather since her mother passed away. When her grandfather decides to renovate the house, Tohru must find a temporary place to live. Rather than impose on her friends, Tohru instead decides that now would be a good chance to learn what it means to live alone and be self sufficient and sets up a tent on some vacant land. However, much to her surprise, the land isn't vacant afterall, but is in fact part of the Sohma clan's lands.

Sohma Yuki fellow classmate and the most popular (and good looking) freshman lives with his cousin Shigure near where Tohru set up her tent. When a landslide buries Tohru's tent however, Shigure and Yuki take Tohru into their home. In return, Tohru agrees to take on all the housework. However, the Sohma clan has a most unusual secret...

violence
nudity

Parental Guidance Suggested - This could almost be rated a G series. The storyline will be most meaningful for kids in second division primary and up. Occasional scenes of implied nudity of the various Sohma members as well as one episode at a hot spring, but no detail is ever shown. Some violence, particularly on the part of Akito. Frequent fights between Kyo and Yuki, as well as various members of the Sohma clan.
