According to Chinese legend, a long, long time ago there was once a mysterious ring in a small distant nation. The ring is said to house a heavenly guardian. Those of pure heart, when they look into the ring, are said to be able to call forth the guardian spirit. With powers capable of repelling enemy forces and protecting the nation, this guardian has now been called forth from the ring by young Shichiri Tasuke; a normal 14 year old boy.

However, young Tasuke's life is neither being threatened by unknown enemies nor is he in danger of having his home invaded by hostile forces. This is afterall modern day Japan. And so the insanity begins, when Shaorin is called forth from the ring that was sent as a present from Tasuke's wandering father from distant China...
