End of Summer

A Parent's Guide to Anime
Rated: X

For Adult Audiences Only

Review by Bobby Stringini:

I am having a real hard time giving this title an X rating. It is such a sweet video and the romantic story is amazing. While there is sex, it is tame (well some may have a problem with the scene with the ropes in the second video). The only reason I gave this video an X was because of the sex scenes.

The story follows a young man who is trying to get the girl of his dreams to go out with him. He starts out thinking that romance and sex are something simple, but as the story progresses he sees how deep and complicated love is through the help of four young girls.

While the video is being marketed as a sex filled hormone romp, it is far from that. The characters have heart, and every girl in the show is a respectable woman with real feelings that the main character must realize. And yes while he does sleep with a few of them it is all normal and almost romantic sex.

I think that if a teen is interested in this video sit down with them and watch it. You can fast forward through the sex (since it is not that needed) but talk about the relationships all the characters have. All the main characters are actually well written role-models.

So yes, while I gave this tape and X, it is only because of the few sex scenes that show up. This show is amazing and has alot of emotion put into its characters. Recommended for anyone who wants a well written emotional romance. Still, this is an adult title and is intended for mature audiences.

Warning:
Sex: There are four total sex scenes in the whole series. All four of them are normal sex and nothing graphic is ever depicted.

Nudity: Other than what is in the sex scenes there is no nudity. There are a few discussions about sex but nothing else.

Violence: A small fist fight in the last episode, but there is no blood at all.

Language: The language gets pretty raw at times.

Other: There are plenty of romantic and adult themes that may need to be discussed if you view this with an older teen.
