Video Girl Ai

genre: Comedy/Romance

Moteuchi Yota has a bit of a dilemma -- he's trapped in a love triangle. The problem is, he's in love with his fellow class-mate Moemi, but she doesn't know it. Moemi's fallen for the very popular Niima Takeshi, and Niima does know it -- but he wants to make sure that Yota gets every chance to hook up with Moemi.

This would be enough of a problem for any teenaged boy, but Yota finds that he has one other "minor" problem -- a recent trip to a previously unnoticed video shop resulted in the rental of a lonely guy's video... but this one had something no other video had: a real live video girl! And the due date on the rental is a whole month away!

Based on a manga by Masakazu Katsura, this 1992 six part OAV series is produced by VIZ Video for the North American market. Each episode is followed by an omake (bonus) section, with interesting trivia, humourous notes and even an interview.

Parental Guidance Advised - A fair amount of young teen-oriented nudity and sexual references. Series is unique that the main characters are all friends; the only "evil" that might be seen is the final authority figure. A rather brutal and bloody series of final scenes where Yota is determined to prove his worth on a shattering glass staircase.
