cover synopsis

Rumiko Takahashi's love story of a lifetime.

Come to the run-down boarding house called Maison Ikkoku, and make yourself at home for the most romantic comdey yet by the creator of RANMA 1/2.

Yusaku Godai has more than his share of problems -- he's young, he's broke, and he lives in a rickety old boarding house filled with the most mosy (and the most noisy!) neighbours to be found anywhere in Japan... or the world, for that matter. But even these extremely eccentric housemates aren't enough to drive young Godai away from this boarding house -- the building's manager is a lovely young woam who always seems so close... and yet so far. How can he ever find a way to tell her what he feels?

"Love is in the Air! Which One Does Kyoko Love Best?": Is it that time already? The holiday season has arrived, and while new manager Kyoko Otonashi busies herself with fixing up the old place, the thouroughly smitten Godai tries to muster up his courage to give Kyoko a gift to show his affection. But it seems that fate is determined to prevent this sy student from carrying out his plan for a romantic holiday gesture...
