Ghost Hunt

genre: horror / occult
readership: shoujo

Based on the Akuryou novel series by Ono Fuyumi - Kodansha X (Teen's Heart) Bunko

Taniyama Mai is a young first year high school student with a most unusual part-time job. Working for Shibuya Psychic Research, she helps investigate possible hauntings and other paranormal phenomena. However, working at such an unusual job also means working with some unusual individuals. Shibuya Kazuya, company boss and total narcissist, has to be one of the most self-confident, albeit very well-learned, individuals Mai has ever met. Unfortunately, it doesn't help that he's also one of the best looking men she's ever met either. And despite his personality, Mai can't help but feel like she's falling for her boss.

Also working at Shibuya Psychic Research is Lin, mystery man who says very little and whose job is to take care of the company equipment and database. Helping these people are several psychically gifted people including Hara Masako - top-ranking medium, Matsuzaki Ayako - miko (shrine maiden), Takigawa Houshou - formerly a Mt. Kouya (sacred mountain and home to many Buddhist monasteries in Japan) Buddhist monk, and John Brown - Catholic priest and exorcist. Together they all work to determine if unusual happenings are indeed the work of the paranormal or if there are more mundane explanations...
