Fantastic Adventures of Unico

A Parent's Guide to Anime
Rated: G

Suitable for Family Viewing

Reviewed by Sean Kemp:

Unico is an amazing film based of the Manga by the now legendary Osamu "God of Manga" Tezuka.

The story of a young unicorn who has the amazing ability to make those around him happy.

His ability to make people happy does not go unnoticed by the jealous gods, who send the West Wind out to exile him in the Hill of Oblivion. Taking pity on the young unicorn, the West Wind carries helps Unico escape the Gods by carrying him away to a far off land.

Parent's Guide Rating:

green (suitable for family viewing)

A magical journey for the whole family, "The Fantastic Adventures of Unico" contains nothing that I could find objectionable.

Regretfully, this movie and it's sequal are now long out of print. If your lucky enough to find a copy hidden away in some video store, or possibly be able to see this film... share it with your family.
